In dedication to

Susan Haley

Chrise’s Lament

It was over a decade ago when I first met Susan Haley with her dark hair and dark eyes- Bert had started a little theater company which later became The Community Players. He had re-written one of his plays, Holiday In Maine and needed a beautiful woman to play the part of Chris and to sing as well. After consulting with Dottie Bickford she told Bert about Susan with her dark hair and dark eyes. Later in practice Susan started singing the song for the first time. Bert looked over at me and nodded, smiling in approval- he had found his Chris, with not only the appearance he wanted but the outstanding vocalist as well. The decade flew by and she sang & performed in so many plays. Just last Christmas, she told me she would go

on singing as long as she could, and know she still is that angel with dark hair and dark eyes- and we will miss her so-

Susan Haley will be greatly missed here at the our small town theater, both as a great performer and a great friend. She has touched so many hearts in so many ways and her memories will always be with us.
