Contra dance caller Chrissy Fowler cheerfully leads folks of all ages in traditional New England social dance. She is committed to building community through dance and movement, and sees traditional dancing as a vital means to connect people across age and experience. She is especially gifted at introducing the joys of traditional dance to the uninitiated.
The Belfast Bay Fiddlers are talented amateur musicians devoted to playing and sharing traditional fiddle music, mostly from the New England contra dance tradition. Their instrumentation ranges from fiddles, mandolins, recorders and whistles to guitars, banjos, accordion and percussion, and they play for dances and concerts throughout Midcoast Maine. The lively music of these community-minded musicians is guaranteed to get your toes tapping!
